It is with a very heavy heart that we have had to say goodbye to Annie.  She was the foundation female at Conspirito… she was our beginning.  We learned it all together and she leaves a wonderful legacy behind her.  She retired from showing/breeding and was my mom's faithful companion for 5 wonderful years.  "Annie" was very sad when my mom passed on May 26, 2011 and I don't think she ever really got over it.  I will never forget her beauty and quality with the darkest eye rims you have ever seen.  She truly was a very special girl.

When Annie first arrived I was not aware of the journey I was about begin.  Being a complete novice and having no showing experience, it took time to gain confidence to enter the show ring.  Annie was over the age of 2 when she attended her first show.  On our second day of showing, Annie was awarded Best of Winners for her first 3 points.  I was hooked!

Annie is pictured above at 10 years of age, winning 'Best of Opposite Sex' at our regional Sheltie Specialty.

From Annie's first litter I kept one female - Ch Conspirito's Independant Woman CD, or "Lucy", who not only excelled in the show ring, but also in the obedience ring. Under the expert handling of my daughter Julie, Lucy obtained her CD.  Lucy produced 4 champion offspring and I now have Annie's great-grandchildren entering the show ring.  I have had other wonderful dogs along the way, but Annie is the foundation behind most of the dogs I have today.
